Guilty Simpson x Madlib = trouble
Another jawn courtesy of Urb magazine. This is from the forthcoming, highly anticipated and full-album collabo between Detroit's grimiest emcee and the heir to Dilla's throne (OJ Simpson, due May 18th from Stones Throw).
Little Brother, "Star" (previously unreleased)
Previously intended for Leftback, but never made the cut and held back by 9th Wonder (according to Phonte). Now available for the fans and sleeping hip-hop heads courtesy of Phonte and Urb magazine.

Sunday Classix
I almost forgot about this song. I came across one of DJ B.Cause's excellent and innovative blends this morning that chops up the instrumentals behind the Marvelettes' "Too Many Fish In The Sea". Here is the classic music video for this classic track. DL below. Enjoy!
SONNED!
Yeah, DJ's gotta put up with some shit but it's part of our job... unless you've been in the game for as long as Kid Capri has. If you're at a hip-hop party and someone of Kid Capri's caliber is DJ'ing, you have NO right to make a request. Props to the OG for setting shit straight!

Dominique Young Unique, "Show My Ass"
Here's a club-banger that I don't mind one bit. Girl's got a flow on her.
New Suff Daddy teaser
I already told you about this cat. His Suff Draft is truly worthy of making the Dilla reference. Still not sure? Need to be further intrigued?

You Can Never Get Just One
After about five strait days of rain, fog and to most, "crappy" weather (I'm actually a fan of rain), I got a strong craving for my two weaknesses: donuts and records. It wouldn't be far from the truth if I said that I grew up on donuts....and with most of my monthly leftovers going towards records, I guess you can say I got a thing for things that are round, hot and fresh.
After grabbing a coffee and a few sprinkled cake pieces of heaven at Mel-O-Glaze, I made my way a little deeper into the city on a 45 mission. Without a doubt, I came out satisfied on both counts. Just another reason why I appreciate the little things in life.
Like This!
Damu is pushing out some new material in a few weeks. Here's a peek at where it all comes from complete with nasty cuts as usual...and man, would it be nice to be able to play in a basement full of records and instruments all day.

Elzhi, "Deep"
Elzhi gets it in on this track. It's not that crazy to say that the density of the rhymes and the mood of this is very reminiscent of Nas on Illmatic. Yeah, I said it.
Off of The Leftovers Unmixedtape found here.
